The still illusive island

Some time ago - quite some time actually - when it was still warm we went on an adventure to try and walk to an island we could see in the distance.  The tides are such here that it goes out for miles and on this particular adventure we got rather bogged in mud and never made it!!

Well yesterday seemed like a good day to try again from a slightly different angle and so this is where we got to...

this is all that is between us and the island after 2hrs walking

Next time maybe we will take togs and swim the last wee bit
